This shorter battery life cordless cleaner is designed for hard floors and smaller homes, where it can be easily packed away. Is it any good?

Dyson has designed the Omni-glide for city living. It's made for cleaning hard floors and is light, manoeuvrable and easy to use. We give it a whirl.

Manoeuvrable ; Easy to use ; Light ; Slim

Short battery life ; No battery warning light ; Tiny bin that clogs easily ; No grip on the handle

This is, hands-down, the most manoeuvrable vacuum cleaner we’ve used. It takes a lot of the labour out of vacuuming. But it’s for hard floors only and its tiny bin and short battery life mean it’s a one trick pony, even if that one trick is very good.

The Dyson Omni-glide is a completely new Dyson design, specifically aimed at small apartments with hard floor throughout

Highly manoeuvrable ; Light ; User-replaceable battery

Dyson seems to have an answer for everything, even the question of how to make a cordless vacuum cleaner for people who don’t have carpets. As usual, the answer is well thought out and superbly engineered.
