The Yamaha RX-V485 is a great way to go if you like the idea of wireless surround speakers and don’t mind using a 5.1 system – but, if you need Google Cast or more channels, there are other options in the price range.

Yamaha RX-V485 review: Excellent value for the AV receiver basics

The Yamaha RX-V485 offers high-quality sound at an affordable price, but some users may crave better connectivity options and Dolby Atmos capability.

The Yamaha RX-V485 offers excellent performance for the money with both music and movies. Multiroom music and the ability to easily pair with wireless rear speakers adds playback flexibility.

There's only four HDMI ports, and the receiver isn't compatible with Google Chromecast or Dolby Atmos.

The Yamaha RX-V485 offers high-quality sound at an affordable price, but for some people it's worth paying more for extra inputs and and Dolby Atmos capability.
