These guys make the richest and fullest sound I have ever heard in a set of open-air headphones. For my ears far better than the 580's , 590's , and the 600's. Also cost much less. Nothing will bring that audigy 2 or nforce 2 sound alive like these will

i've been using this headphone for about a year with a nad 302 and with a technics slp390, the interconnects are monitor cables.. i paid only 50$ because it's used, but it's in good repair. i wanted good sound & universal headphones for little money.

Extremely comfortable symphonic/vocal headphones

 

Sennheiser has a reputation for excellent headphones all the way from the ultra-tweak audiophile market to mass-market budget buyers. The HD-570, at around a hundred dollars, is at the very top of what most would call "mass market".

Extremely comfortable; great "symphonic" sound; detachable cord; works

Does not silence outside noise; sharp kicky bass overwhelms the drivers at high volume
