Had it for years, works grand..

All most people will need in a scanner

 

The resolution of a web page is only 72 DPI. Therefore, why buy a scanner with a resolution of 1200 DPI if you are mostly scanning things for a web page?

Fairly fast, acceptable resolution, does an adequate job

Just Bounced it on the Driveway Macadam

 

This scanner was purchased mainly for OCR use. During the year

(too) cheap

supplied driver doesn't work with supplied OCR software

Once you figure out the software....

 

Once you figure out the software, this is a simple, foolproof scanner for the home user. It is not particularly fast, but unless you are scanning on a regular basis, who cares.

Outperforms our Scanjet handily!

 

Purchased largely because of Acer's $40 rebate on the then-$89 scanner, I was amazed at the quality of the scanner AND its terrific interface program, Mirascan.

Good scan quality and speed.

Very small sized scans, plus the brick that plugs into the wall socket is large and unwieldy.
