HTC Evo 4G LTE review: Ticking all boxes

The Sprint Wireless exclusive HTC Evo 4G LTE is the latest smartphone to come from the close and rather prolific collaboration between the carrier and the Taiwanese manufacturer. The handset is bound to take its spot as the flagship for Sprint's newly...

LTE/CDMA network support ; 4.7" 16M-color Super LCD 2 capacitive touchscreen of HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels); Gorilla glass ; Superb build quality ; Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 ; 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait CPU, Qualcomm...

Only available in the United States ; Sprint's LTE network is still in early stages of deployment ; Non-user-accessible battery ; The glossy plastic cover on the device's back is a fingerprint magnet

The HTC Evo 4G LTE is undoubtedly the best-spec'd smartphone currently on offer in the United States. The flagship handset offers all the latest smartphone tech in a neat, well-built package. We reckon that even the most demanding Android users will...

HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint review (updated)

Stellar camera ; Top-notch performance ; Gorgeous 720p HD display

Lacks GSM / HSPA+ world roaming ; LTE network isn't turned on ; Non-removable embedded SIM

The EVO 4G LTE is an excellent option for Sprint users interested in the latest and greatest, but it's marred by the network's frustrating limitations.

Review: HTC Evo 4G LTE

HTC's new Evo is sold as a 4G phone, but Sprint's 4G LTE network isn't currently operational anywhere other than a handful of test markets.

Black aluminum and plastic, with red anodized highlights producing a distinctively menacing looking phone. One of the best displays and cameras found in smartphones. Beastly power and speed. HTC Sense 4 isn’t as good as stock Android, but it’s the best...

It’s called the Evo 4G LTE, but Sprint’s 4G LTE network hasn’t launched yet. The protruding camera is begging to get scuffed and scratched over the life of a 2-year contract. The One X is a better-looking phone

HTC EVO 4G LTE (Sprint)

Sprint's fastest, most powerful and elegant smartphone is now waiting for the carrier's new LTE network.

Slim. Fast. Integrated kickstand. Top-notch camera. Ships with Android 4.0

Without LTE, Internet access is slow. Video camera frame rates drop indoors

The most powerful Sprint cell phone (but just by a nose), the HTC EVO 4G LTE ($199.99) is both fabulous and frustrating. It has a powerful processor, the best camera on Sprint, and a long list of great little convenience features that make it our...

HTC Evo 4G LTE review

The HTC Evo 4G is perhaps Sprint's most important phone ever. When it was released in 2010, it was Sprint's best phone by a long shot, and one of only a few truly great Android devices. Two years...

Fantastic build quality ; Gorgeous display ; Really fast, smooth performance

Sprint's LTE network isn't ready yet ; Mediocre battery life ; Sense is still too intrusive

How much do you really like Sprint?

HTC Evo 4G LTE Review: Gorgeous, but No LTE for Now

Sprint's original HTC Evo 4G was the carrier's very first 4G WiMAX phone. Two years (and a few other Evos) later, we have the HTC Evo 4G LTE ($200 with a new two-year contract from Sprint; price as of 5/10/12). But despite the name, this smartphone is...

Sleek, durable design with kickstand ; Solid camera with many shooting modes

Camera's shutter button doesn't work in lock mode ; No LTE network yet

HTC Evo 4G LTE(Sprint) review

With its new HTC Evo 4G LTE, Sprint is the latest U.S. carrier to jump on the HTC One X bandwagon. Like its HTC One X cousin on AT&T, the Evo 4G LTE offers a sleek design, a quality camera, and Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Powerful parts, a lovely screen, stunning design, and an excellent camera help the Evo 4G LTE restoke the fires of the Evo faithful.

Given the 4G LTE in its name, the newest Evo's lack of Sprint LTE at launch is a huge letdown.

The HTC Evo 4G LTE is a worthy successor to Sprint's Evo family, as long as you remember one important caveat: until Sprint gets its LTE network off the ground, the Evo 4G LTE won't actually run 4G -- it will be 3G-only at first.

HTC Evo 4G LTE

The HTC Evo 4G LTE is the new flagship device for the USA's Sprint network. It's an Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with, as its name suggests, the capability to hop aboard Sprint's ultra-fast LTE data network. While we couldn't test the HTC Evo...

Thin and lightweight, excellent 8MP camera, superb screen, kick-stand 25GB of free Dropbox space

Sprint’s 4G rollout is still in effect, ugly-looking back

While we couldn’t test the HTC Evo 4G LTE at its speedy best, it’s a very high quality smartphone even without 4G.

HTC EVO 4G LTE Review

With the introduction of the HTC EVO 4G LTE, Sprint effectively gets its own “HTC One” phone, renamed into one of the successful “EVO” Franchise that made history for Sprint. The EVO 4G LTE does look like its HTC One [...]

While Sprint does not have an official “HTC One” phone, rest assured that the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE can go toe to toe with the HTC One X. If anything, I think that Sprint should not have messed with the original name because it dilutes the message, and...

HTC EVO 4G LTE Review

As HTC ushers in their next generation of smartphones with their hero series of HTC One devices, so too does the impact spread to their other hard-hitting brand lines like what we're seeing here in the HTC EVO 4G LTE . What we've seen of this device...

As mentioned above, this device easily beats the rest of the Android devices on its chosen carrier and certainly trumps what HTC has done in the past with every other EVO. This smartphone is both thin and light, has the same HTC One features for...
