Having to choose computers from only one vendor means that many buyers won't have much choice: for now, the iMac is still Apple's lone choice for a mid-range desktop. That said, most home customers will find a lot to like in what Apple has to offer....

If you are a "hard core" gamer (ie. you have no significant other/family and only eat delivered food) this is not your machine. If you haven't ditched the semi annual hardware swap routine to keep up because you enjoy it, stick with your Alienware

This 24" unit has the following issues

Beautiful screen, great design, silent, fast boot time, MacOSX runs great. Very mature and polished system. Worry free browsing, no need for security software

EXPENSIVE. Purchased 4 GB DDRAM from Newegg and Applecare from Apple for a grand total of about two grand. That money buys a lot in the PC world. The mouse and the keyboard are terrible. Outdated graphic chip
