If money is no object, OLED technology looks better than LCD. But how many of us can honestly say money is no object?

65-inch curved display looks glorious ; Compatible with Comcast and DirecTV's 4K offerings

LCD doesn't deliver as much contrast as OLED ; Steep price premium for 4K, considering how little content is available

This curvaceous Samsung looks great, and it's priced well for a 65-inch 4K TV. But OLED technology just looks better.

Although it does help reduce reflections somewhat, the curved shape of Samsung's UNHU9000 4K TV does nothing else to improve image quality, and in some ways actually impairs it. And it costs a whole lot more than a flat TV.

A Review of the Samsung UN78HU9000 Curved 78-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D LED TV

 

As one of the first 4K TVs from Samsung to come equipped with an HEVC decoder, the Samsung UN78HU9000 was way ahead of many UHD TV models in being a piece of technology that's ready for the future.

One excellent viewing experience ; Packed with display enhancement technologies ; Future-proofed design ; Full connectivity ; Excellent built-in speakers ; Great Smart TV UI with Smart Hub and remote control ; Beautifully large screen

Too expensive ; Side-angle viewing isn’t as great as it could be ; Lacks full-array LED backlighting

In terms of features and overall quality, the HU9000 goes the whole nine yards without failing in any way but you could probably settle for something cheaper and still be very happy.
