The Palm Pre Plus effortlessly handles multitasking and notifications, but its hardware feels dated
Superb multitasking, excellent notifications, appealing look and feel, gesture area works well, good browsing experience
Mediocre build quality, average keyboard, hardware feels dated compared to the competition, slow to open applications
The Palm Pre Plus and the webOS platform are far from perfect. The Pre's hardware feels dated compared to the latest smartphones; it's slower and it's also missing some basic features. Despite these issues, webOS' handling of multitasking and...

Has Palm tackled the problems of the much-vaunted Palm Pre in this update?
Expertrecension från : Joshua Topolsky (engadget.com)
It's been about a year since Palm pulled itself back from the brink of imminent destruction with the announcement of webOS and the Palm Pre, and even less
More memory and storage space than the Pre ; Verizon's network is rock-solid ; Mobile Hotspot add utility
Lackluster software selection ; Performance is sometimes sluggish ; Hardware feels dated
Expertrecension från : Chris Smith (techradar.com)
Does the Pre Plus do enough to justify a re-release?
Great OS ; Improved keyboard ; More RAM ; Better memory ; Enjoyable gesture bar
Not a lot of improvement in two years ; Sharp rim ; No Facebook chat ; Hard to reach power button ; No turn-by-turn navigation
One year ago, the world was awaiting the arrival of the first Palm Pre, like a foretold saviour from the boredom of smartphone monotony. This would be the handset to truly grasp the 'iPhone killer' title and run with it, but that plan didn't quite come...

The Palm Pre Plus appears on AT&T a year after Sprint's Palm Pre went on sale. It's still a fine smartphone, but not quite cutting edge.
User-friendly OS. Excellent Web browser. Good call quality.
More expensive and less powerful than Verizon's version. No voice dialing. Fewer apps than iPhone.
Multimedia and Conclusions The Pre is hurting from the death of its old iTunes syncing function, which Palm decided to give up on. The best syncing option now is the free doubleTwist (Free, ) program, which transcodes files for the Pre well. Once you...

The Palm Pre Plus ($150 with a two-year contract from AT&T; price as of May 13, 2010) is really more of an update of the original Pre on Sprint than a completely new product. Even so, the subtle hardware tweaks combined with AT&T's network make it an...
WebOS 1.4 delivers useful enhancements ; Video capture works well
No mobile hotspot
The Palm Pre Plus has some quirks--the cramped keyboard and slow software in particular--but it makes a good iPhone alternative on AT&T.

Editors' Note: Portions of the Design and Features sections were taken from our review of the Verizon Palm Pre Plus, since the phones share a number of similarities.
The Palm Pre Plus brings the magic of WebOS to AT&T, including true multitasking and great contact management. The smartphone also ships with an inductive back cover for Touchstone charging and features an improved QWERTY keyboard over the original...
The AT&T Palm Pre Plus doesn't support the Palm Mobile Hotspot app. Battery life still isn't that great.
With the great capabilities of WebOS, the Palm Pre Plus is one of AT&T's better touch-screen smartphones, but its price tag may be off-putting for many.

Palm Pre Plus. Palm Pixi Plus. We dive deep into these phones to see the strengths and weaknesses of each.
So small it’ll fit nearly any pocket. New Wi-Fi and hotspot features add bite. Comes with Touchstone-ready and rugged skins. Pinch-zoomers rejoice: It sports multitouch
So small it’ll cramp nearly any thumb. Mobile hotspot feature eats up waaaay too much juice. 2-megapixel camera is no longer acceptable. Switching skins is harder than peeling grapes

The Palm Pre Plus ($150 with a two-year contract from Verizon; price as of 1/20/10) is really more of an update of the original Pre on Sprint than a completely new product. Even so, the subtle hardware tweaks combined with Verizon's speedy network...
16 GB of internal memory ; 3G Mobile Hotspot works well
WebOS can be slow ; Keyboard still needs improvement
With expanded memory and new software capabilities, the Pre Plus is definitely an improvement over its predecessor, but it still has some quirks.
Expertrecension från : Bonnie Cha (cnet.com)
Editors' note, March 2, 2011: We have adjusted the ratings since the original publish date to reflect new products that have entered the market.
The Palm Pre Plus offers double the storage capacity and double the RAM of the Palm Pre. The smartphone also ships with an inductive back cover for Touchstone charging and features an improved QWERTY keyboard.
Speakerphone volume is too soft. We'd like to see a landscape keyboard and camera editing options. No support for V Cast Music or Video. The phone can run a bit hot.
The Palm Pre Plus earns its place as the top WebOS device, improving on the Pre with a better design and performance, and upgraded features. Verizon customers looking for a versatile smartphone to balance their personal and work lives will be...
